Fact of life: Prince William Stands Up to Bullying, Calls It ‘Stupid and Cruel’ in New Campaign

Fact of life - Prince William has recorded a public service announcement to encourage people to stand up to bullying and just say “no.”

"It is our collective responsibility to be alert, and to be ready to challenge the behavior we see around us,” the duke of Cambridge said in a video message recorded at Kensington Palace. “We all have a role to play to ensure that we do not standby, but instead stand up, and put a stop to bullying.”

Fact of life, William, who recently formed a cyber-bullying task force, recorded the video message for the first-ever Stand Up to Bullying Day in honor of The Diana Award. The second-in-line to the throne reminded people that bullying doesn't just happen on the playground, but can affect people of all ages and all backgrounds in the workplace and throughout society.

“Bullying is an issue which can affect any one of us, regardless of age, background, gender, sexuality, race, disability or religion,” the prince said in the video. “It can happen for many reasons. It is often stupid and cruel, and can take many forms.” For more information you can see at here reviews

The Stand Up to Bullying Day campaign was conceived by the charity, The Diana Award, which both William and Prince Harry support. The Diana Award was set up in memory of the late Princess of Wales.

Several celebrities are featured in the video, including Ben Kingsley, Will Poulter, Jim Carter of “Downton Abbey,” and James McVey of The Vamps.

William recorded the message in May after meeting with Diana Award ambassadors, a group of young people who voiced their concerns about bullying.
